Members and friends of the Harvard Club of Toronto who will be in the Ottawa area on November 24 are invited to the Harvard Club of Ottawa’s special event with The Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada. In addition to his distinguished career in public service, in university administration, as an academic, as a corporate director and public figure, David Johnston has long-standing and illustrious ties to Harvard. His Excellency served as President of the Harvard Board of Overseers, the first non-American ever to serve in this role. He graduated Manga Cum Laude in 1963 from Harvard College where he captained the hockey team.

The Canada at Harvard Financial Aid Fund will become The David Johnston Financial Aid Fund for Harvard Students from Canada after the Governor General leaves office in 2017. More information on the fund can be found in the link above.
