Harvard at TIFF: A Conversation with Tinker Lindsay (Hector and the Search for Happiness)

The Harvard Club of Toronto and the Harvardwood Toronto chapter are pleased to invite you to an informal get-together on Sunday September 7th with accomplished writer/screenwriter and Harvard grad Tinker Lindsay. Tinker will be visiting Toronto to accompany and promote her film Hector and the Search for Happiness, which has its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival later on Sunday night. The event is taking place at the Trios Lounge, which is right next to the Trios Bistro in the Marriott Hotel at the Eaton Centre at 525 Bay Street. Start time is 5:00 p.m. Due to other film-related commitments in the hours right before the premiere (the film screens at 8:45 p.m.), Tinker will need to leave by 6:00pm, although all are welcome to stay longer and continue socializing in the Trios Lounge.

About the Speaker:
Tinker Lindsay's Hector and the Search for Happiness (starring Simon Pegg, Rosamund Pike, Christopher Plummer, Toni Collette, Jean Reno and Stellan Skarsgaard), co-written with director Peter Chelsom, has its North American premiere on September 7 at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film opens in Los Angeles and New York on September 19th, with a wide release following on October 3rd.

Tinker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard with an A.B. in English and American Language and Literature. She was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society and was an Editor of the Harvard Crimson newspaper.
